Description: DR5 Antibody: Apoptosis is induced by certain cytokines including TNF and Fas ligand in the TNF family through their death domain containing receptors. TRAIL/Apo2L is a new member of the TNF family. DR4 was recently identified as the receptor for TRAIL. A novel death domain containing receptor for TRAIL was more recently identified and designated DR5, Apo2, TRAIL-R2, TRICK2, or KILLER by several groups independently. Like DR4, DR5 transcript is widely expressed in normal tissues and in many types of tumor cells. DR5 binds to TRAIL and mediates TRAIL induced cell death. Overexpression of DR5 induces apoptosis and activates NF-kappa B.

Description: POLR3B belongs to the RNA polymerase beta chain family. DNA-dependent RNA polymerase catalyzes the transcription of DNA into RNA using the four ribonucleoside triphosphates as substrates. POLR3B is the second largest core component of RNA polymerase III which synthesizes small RNAs, such as 5S rRNA and tRNAs. It is proposed to contribute to the polymerase catalytic activity and forms the polymerase active center together with the largest subunit. Pol III is composed of mobile elements and RPC2 is part of the core element with the central large cleft and probably a clamp element that moves to open and close the cleft.

Description: SPON2 is a cell adhesion protein that promote adhesion and outgrowth of hippocampal embryonic neurons. Binds directly to bacteria and their components and functions as an opsonin for macrophage phagocytosis of bacteria. It is essential in the initiation of the innate immune response and represents a unique pattern-recognition molecule in the ECM for microbial pathogens.

Description: Ribosomes, the organelles that catalyze protein synthesis, consist of a small 40S subunit and a large 60S subunit. Together these subunits are composed of 4 RNA species and approximately 80 structurally distinct proteins. The ribosomal protein is a component of the 60S subunit. The protein, which is the functional equivalent of the E. coli L10 ribosomal protein, belongs to the L10P family of ribosomal proteins. It is a neutral phosphoprotein with a C-terminal end that is nearly identical to the C-terminal ends of the acidic ribosomal phosphoproteins P1 and P2. The P0 protein can interact with P1 and P2 to form a pentameric complex consisting of P1 and P2 dimers, and a P0 monomer. Description: PTER Antibody: PTER is a mammalian homolog to bacterial phosphotriesterases, enzymes that hydrolyze phosphotriester-containing organophosphate pesticides. It is expressed primarily in the proximal renal tubules and the gene has been localized in humans to chromosomal band 10p12 by in situ hybridization. PTER, in addition to FTO, MC4R, and NPC1 has recently been shown to be a new risk loci for early-onset and morbid adult obesity in European populations. At least two isoforms of PTER are known to exist.

Description: COPS2 is an essential component of the COP9 signalosome complex (CSN), a complex involved in various cellular and developmental processes. The CSN complex is an essential regulator of the ubiquitin (Ubl) conjugation pathway by mediating the deneddylation of the cullin subunits of SCF-type E3 ligase complexes. The complex is also involved in phosphorylation of p53/TP53, c-jun/JUN, IkappaBalpha/NFKBIA, ITPK1 and IRF8/Ion ChannelSBP. COPS2 is also innvolved in early stage of neuronal differentiation via its interaction with NIF3L1.

Description: Decapping is a key step in general and regulated mRNA decay. The protein encoded by this gene is a decapping enzyme. This protein and another decapping enzyme form a decapping complex, which interacts with the nonsense-mediated decay factor hUpf1 and may be recruited to mRNAs containing premature termination codons. This protein also participates in the TGF-beta signaling pathway.
