Zolpidemphenyl-4-carboxylic acid ≥98% (by HPLC)
Supplier: ENZO LIFE SCIENCES AG
Synonyms:
Zolpidem Metabolite I, 4-[3-[2-(Dimethylamino)-2-oxoethyl]-6-methylimidazo[1,2-a]pyridin-2-yl] benzoic acid
Major metabolite of zolpidem.
Zolpidem metabolite I is the major metabolite of zolpidem. Zolpidem is a non-benzodiazepine compound that acts as an agonist to the GABA-Aγ1 subunit, which has been shown to treat insomia. Intake of zolpidem can be detected by quantification of the metabolites produced. Zolpidem metabolite I shows two absorption peaks in methanol. It emits blue fluorescence upon exiting at 303 nm in water (λem= 373 nm).
Soluble in methanol, DMF and DMSO. Slightly soluble in water and ethyl acetate.
