Masterflex® Ismatec® tubing cassettes: CA and MS/CA types
Ismatec Click 'n' Go™ Cassettes allow for easy and rapid tubing exchange for peristaltic pumps. There are two types of tubing cassettes available:
- CA style cassettes for 2-stop peristaltic tubing (CA tubing)
- MS/CA style cassettes for 3-stop peristaltic tubing* (MS/CA tubing)
* newer type tubing compatible with MS/CA cassettes may only be available as 2-stop tubing. The naming convention changes from "3-stop" to "MS/CA" tubing.
CA Cassettes
Large CA cassettes are suitable for use with the IPC and IPC-N series, low flow, high accuracy peristaltic pumps. CA cassettes accept 2-stop peristaltic tubing with a 152 mm gap between the stoppers. Suitable tubing sizes range from 0.13 to 3.17 mm ID. Pressure lever equipped CA cassettes allow to set a different tubing pressure for each channel. Depending on the application, tubing material and diameter, an optimally adjusted tubing pressure can be set. To maintain constant flow rates, it may be necessary to periodically adjust the tubing pressure. Using pressure lever equipped cassettes usually increases the maximum achievable differential pressure of a peristaltic pump.
When ordering CA cassettes, the replacement adapters for CA cassettes are not included and need to be ordered separately.
CA cassettes are suitable for:
- 2-stop (CA) peristaltic tubing
- gap between tubing stoppers of 152 mm
- Tubing ID's from 0.13 to 3.17 mm
Please Note: the adapters 07618-65 are not included with the cassettes and need to be ordered separately.
MS/CA Cassettes
The small MS/CA cassettes are suitable for use with the Reglo series and some pump heads (MS/CA heads) for the BVP and MCP pump family. MS/CA cassettes accept 3-stop peristaltic (MS/CA) tubing with a 72 mm gap between the stoppers. Newer tubing suitable for these cassettes is only equipped with two stoppers and is called "MS/CA-tubing". Suitable tubing sizes range from 0.13 to 3.17 mm ID. Pressure lever equipped MS/CA cassettes allow to set a different tubing pressure for each channel. Standard MS/CA cassettes come without the pressure lever. Consistent pressure is applied with a pre-installed, stainless-steel spring.
MS/CA cassettes are suitable for:
- 3-stop (MS/CA) peristaltic tubing
- gap between tubing stoppers of 72 mm
- Tubing ID's from 0.13 to 3.17 mm
