Catalog Number: (BOSSBS-3527R-A750)
Supplier: Bioss
Description: The kinesin superfamily of proteins (KIFs) consists of a class of microtubule-dependent motors that play a major role in many cellular and developmental functions, including organelle transport, mitosis, meiosis, and possibly long-range signaling in neurons. The kinesin proteins are involved in organelle transport and are primarily associated with anterograde transport of vesicles and organelles in neurons, epithelial cells, and melanosomes with bidirectional transport of mitochondria. They also mediate transport between the endoplasmic reticulum (ER) and the Golgi complex. In neurons, kinesin motors conduct vesicular transport, such as of synaptic vesicle components to axons and of neurotransmitter receptors to dendrites. KIF17 belongs to the functionally diverse subgroup of the kinesin superfamily characterised by a N-terminal motor domain (N-IV class), that includes the KIF3 motor protein. KIF17 is specifically expressed in the brain, present in abundance in the gray matter, particularly in the hippocampus and cerebral cortex, but not in the white matter such as the optic nerve.

Catalog Number: (BOSSBS-11180R-A680)
Supplier: Bioss
Description: ATP-binding cassette (ABC) transporters are an evolutionarily conserved family of widely-expressed proteins that use ATP hydrolysis to catalyse the transport of various molecules across extracellular and intracellular membranes. Eukaryotic ABC transporters are largely responsible for trafficking hydrophobic compounds either within the cell as part of a metabolic process, outside the cell for transport to other organs, or for secretion from the body. The cholesterol-responsive transporter, ABCA7, maps to human chromosome 19 and mouse chromosome 10 and has been reported as a candidate regulator of ceramide transport in epidermal lipid reorganization. High expression levels of ABCA7 have been reported in myelolymphatic tissues, reticuloendothelial cells, peripheral leukocytes, thymus, spleen and bone marrow. This expression pattern of the two alternatively-spliced isoforms also indicates an involvement in lipid homeostasis in cells of the immune system, though the complete role of ABCA7 is not yet known. Full-length type I ABCA7 has shown plasma membrane localisation, while the type II splicing variant has shown expression predominantly in the endoplasmic reticulum.

Supplier: Abcam
Description: Anti-Serotonin transporter Rabbit Monoclonal Antibody [clone: EPR26259-61]

Catalog Number: (BOSSBS-5761R-A647)
Supplier: Bioss
Description: The protein encoded by this gene is a member of the superfamily of ATP-binding cassette (ABC) transporters. ABC proteins transport various molecules across extra- and intra-cellular membranes. ABC genes are divided into seven distinct subfamilies (ABC1, MDR/TAP, MRP, ALD, OABP, GCN20, and White). This ABC full-transporter is a member of the MRP subfamily which is involved in multi ATP-dependent transporter probably involved in cellular detoxification through lipophilic anion extrusion.

Description: Anti-Dopamine Transporter Rabbit Monoclonal Antibody [clone: EPR19695]

Catalog Number: (BOSSBS-4176R-CY7)
Supplier: Bioss
Description: Functions as a polyspecific organic cation transporter, efficiently transporting many organic cations such as monoamine neurotransmitters 1-methyl-4-phenylpyridinium and biogenic amines including serotonin, dopamine, norepinephrine and epinephrine. May play a role in regulating central nervous system homeostasis of monoamine neurotransmitters. May be involved in luminal transport of organic cations in the kidney and seems to use luminal proton gradient to drive organic cation reabsorption. Does not seem to transport nucleoside and nucleoside analogs such as uridine, cytidine, thymidine, adenosine, inosine, guanosine, and azidothymidine. In (PubMed:16873718) adenosine is efficiently transported but in a fashion highly sensitive to extracellular pH, with maximal activity in the pH range 5.5 to 6.5. Glu-206 is essential for the cation selectivity and may function as the charge sensor for cationic substrates. Transport is chloride and sodium-independent but appears to be sensitive to changes in membrane potential. Weakly inhibited by the classical inhibitors of equilibrative nucleoside transport, dipyridamole, dilazep, and nitrobenzylthioinosine. May play a role in the regulation of extracellular adenosine concentrations in cardiac tissues, in particular during ischemia.
