Description: EFHD2 Antibody: EFHD2, also known as Swiprosin-1 or SWS1, is an EF-hand and coiled-coil-containing adaptor protein that plays a role in lymphocyte physiology. EFHD2 exhibits the highest expression in CD8+ T cells and immature B cells. It provides a membrane scaffold that is required for the Syk-, SLP-65-, and PLCgamma2-dependent B-cell receptor (BCR)-induced calcium flux. EFHD2 may also regulate BCR-induced immature and primary B-cell apoptosis. It controls spontaneous apoptosis through the regulation of BCL2L1 abundance. Also, EFHD2 plays a role as negative regulator of the canonical NF-kappa B-activating branch.

Description: CCL16 is a member of CC chemokine family. CCL16 cDNA encodes a 120 amino acid peptide along with a 23 amino acids signal peptide that is cleaved to generate 97 amino acid protein. CCL16 is distantly related to other CC chemokines, showing less than 30% sequence identity. CCL16 elicits its effects on cells by interacting with cell surface chemokine receptors such as CCR1, CCR2, CCR5 and CCR8. Recombinant CCL16 has been shown to chemoattract human monocytes and THP1 cells but not resting lymphocytes nor neutrophils. CCL16 has potent myelosuppressive activity, suppresses proliferation of myeloid progenitor cells. CCL16ninduces a calcium flux in THP1 cells that can be desensitized by prior exposure to RANTES, suggesting that CCL16 and RANTES share the same receptor in THP1 cells.

Description: Nudel Antibody: Nudel was initially discovered as a protein homologous to Aspergillus NUDE and that associated with Lis1 and polyprotein complex cytoplasmic dynein, both of which have been linked to neuronal development and migration. It was later shown to be a substrate of cdk5, a kinase known to be critical during neuronal migration; phosphorylation of Nudel by cdk5 affects its localization in neurons and affects neuritic morphology. It is thought that together with Lis1, Nudel regulates cytoplasmic dynein, a large polyprotein complex, in neuronal migration and mitosis through direct interactions. Similar interactions are thought to also play a role in membrane traffic in other cells as disruption of Nudel expression through RNA interference perturbed normal endomembrane flux and resulted in the fragmentation of the Golgi apparatus.
