Catalog Number: (BSENM-1311-100)
Supplier: Biosensis
Description: The 6X His tag is a short peptide sequence of 6 histidine residues. Epitopes such as the 6X His tag are often included with the target DNA at the time of cloning to produce fusion proteins containing the tag sequence. This allows anti-epitope tag antibodies such as this one to serve as a universal detection reagent for any recombinant protein containing this tag. Anti-epitope antibodies are a useful alternative to generating antibodies to identify a specific recombinant protein. The 6X His motif is often used as a tag on recombinant proteins to facilitate purification with immobilized metal-affinity chromatography.

Catalog Number: (BOSSBS-11993R)
Supplier: Bioss
Description: Changes in the serine/threonine phosphorylation state of a protein in response to various external stimuli can have profound effects on cellular signal transduction, apoptosis and carcinogenesis. The reagents, including phosphorylated protein/peptides, antibodies against the phosphospecific amino acid, are important tools to explore the activation of serine, threonine or tyrosine containing proteins. An aberrant protein phosphorylation is a hallmark of human disease, and the enzymes, particularly protein kinases, which control protein phosphorylation are recognized as a major new drug target family.

Catalog Number: (BOSSBS-13070R-CY3)
Supplier: Bioss
Description: The rTS gene codes for a naturally occurring antisense RNA to thymidylate synthase (TS) mRNA and two proteins (rTSalpha and rTSbeta (also known as ENOSF1)). The role of the major protein product of rTS, ENOSF1 has been linked to alterations in TS protein expression, but the precise function of ENOSF1 is unknown. Expression of rTS is associated with growth arrest in cell culture, but its overexpression has been noted in cells resistant to anticancer drugs such as 5-fluorouracil and methotrexate. Studies have shown that increased expression of ENOSF1 is associated with the decrease in TS protein expression due to production of novel, diffusible signal molecules.

Catalog Number: (PRSI91-807)
Supplier: ProSci Inc.
Description: Tumor necrosis factor receptor superfamily member 19L (TNFRSF19L), also known as Receptor expressed in lymphoid tissues and RELT, is a member of the TNF-receptor superfamily. TNFRSF19L is a single-pass type membrane protein and contains one TNFR-Cys repeat. TNFRSF19L is highly expressed in spleen, lymph node, thymus, peripheral blood leukocytes, bone marrow and fetal liver. It has been shown TNFRSF19L activates the NF-kappaB pathway and selectively binds TNF receptor-associated factor 1 (TRAF1). TNFRSF19L is capable of stimulating T-cell proliferation in the presence of CD3 signaling, which suggests its regulatory role in immune response.

Catalog Number: (BOSSBS-12136R-CY7)
Supplier: Bioss
Description: Striatin, SG2NA, and zinedin, the three mammalian members of the striatin family, are multimodular, WD-repeat and calmodulin-binding proteins. Zinedin and SG2NA share with striatin identical protein-protein interaction domains and the same overall domain structure. All three proteins are both cytosolic and membrane-bound and bind calmodulin in the presence of calcium. Striatin is a neuronal, intracellular protein strictly expressed in the somatodendritic compartment, including spines, subsets of neurons, and is considered as a marker of neuronal polarity. Downregulation of striatin, which is expressed in a few subsets of neurons, impairs the growth of dendrites as well as rat locomotor activity. Zinedin is mainly expressed in the central nervous system, whereas SG2NA is mainly expressed in the brain and muscle.

Catalog Number: (K1441)
Supplier: Thermo Fisher Scientific
Description: 5-Methylcytosine is a prominent epigenetic DNA modification which plays an important role in regulation of gene expression. The EpiJET™ DNA Methylation Analysis Kit (MspI/HpaII) uses the MspI and HpaII restriction enzymes to analyse DNA methylation status at a specific locus. Epi MspI and Epi HpaII are isoschizomers with differing sensitivities to CpG methylation. When the internal CpG in the 5’-CCGG-3’ tetranucleotide sequence is methylated, cleavage with Epi HpaII is blocked, but cleavage with Epi MspI is not affected. The Epi MspI and Epi HpaII enzymes are specially formulated for epigenetics studies to complete genomic DNA digestion in 1 hour.

Description: Halt Protease Inhibitor Cocktail provides all the protection of a broad-spectrum protease inhibitor in a single, ready-to-use liquid format. Halt protects against protein degradation by serine, cysteine, and aspartic acid proteases and aminopeptidases. Metalloproteases are inhibited by the optional use of 0,5 M EDTA. The 100X Halt stock solution makes it easy to dispense the required amount (10 µl per 1 ml) of protease inhibitors into buffers or lysis reagents prior to extraction of proteins from cultured cells, animal tissues, plant tissues, yeast or bacteria. Halt Protease Inhibitor Cocktails are compatible with Thermo Scientific Pierce Protein Extraction Reagents. Halt EDTA-free formulation is ideal for preparing samples that will be analysed by 2-D gel electrophoresis, immobilised metal chelate affinity chromatography (IMAC) and other downstream application where chelating agents interfere.

Supplier: Bioss
Description: Caldesmon, Filamin 1, Nebulin, Plastin, ADF, Gelsolin, CapG, Dematin and Cofilin are differentially expressed Actin-binding proteins. Both muscular (CDh) and non-muscular (CD1) forms of Caldesmon bind to Actin as well as to Calmodulin and Myosin. CDh is expressed predominantly on thin filaments in smooth muscle, whereas CD1 is widely expressed in non-muscle tissues and cells. CapG, also designated Actin-regulatory protein and macrophage-capping protein, is a macrophage-specific protein that reversibly blocks the barbed ends of Actin filaments, but does not sever preformed ones. The interactions of CapG with Actin may be important in the regulation of nuclear and cytoplasmic structures. CapG is a calcium-sensitive DNA-binding protein that plays a role in macrophage function. It is expressed in macrophages and macrophage-like cells and can localize both to the nucleus and the cytoplasm.

Description: The calcium-activated chloride channel (CLCA) protein family, which includes the human homologs CLCA1 and CLCA2, display distinct tissue distribution patterns. CLCA1 is expressed as a precursor protein that is processed into two cell surface associated subunits and a group of proteins. CLCA1 is upregulated by interleukin-9 and regulates the expression of mucins. CLCA1 may provide a therapeutic target to control mucus overproduction in airway disease patients with cystic fibrosis. CLCA2 expression is downregulated in breast cancer, therefore CLCA2 is thought to act as a tumor suppressor in normal cells. CLCA3 (known as Clca3 in mouse) is a structurally divergent member of the CLCA family that does not function as a channel protein. CLCA4 is a CLCA member that is expressed in human rectal mucosa, CLCA5 shows strong expression in eye and spleen, and CLCA6 is primarily expressed in intestine and stomach.

Description: Reagent for aluminium. Aurintricarboxylic acid readily polymerises in aqueous solution, forming a stable free radical that inhibits protein-nucleic acid interactions. It is a potent inhibitor of ribonuclease and topoisomerase II by preventing the binding of the nucleic acid to the enzyme. It stimulates tyrosine phosphorylation processes including the Jak2/STAT5 pathway in NB2 lymphoma cells, ErbB4 in neuroblastoma cells, and MAP kinases, Shc proteins, phosphatidylinositide 3-kinase and phospholipase C in PC12 cells. Aurintricarboxylic acid inhibits apoptosis in many cell types. Its neuroprotective effect, perhaps due to its ability to prevent down-regulation of Ca²⁺ impermeable GluR2 receptors or to its ability to inhibit calpain, a Ca²⁺-activated protease that is activated during apoptosis.
