Supplier: Quantabio
Description: Synthesis of cDNA and PCR amplification are carried out in the same tube without opening between procedures. These kits are optimised to deliver maximum RT-PCR efficiency and specificity, enabling unbiased co-amplification of low copy transcripts in the presence of higher copy reference genes. As a result the qScript™ One-Step qRT-PCR Kits offer improved sensitivity over other commercially available qPCR reagents. The qScript™ One-Step Master Mix maximises the activities of both reverse transcriptase and PCR enzymes, while minimising primer-dimer formation. High specificity is assured with AccuStart™ Taq DNA Polymerase, which is bound by monoclonal antibodies for superior hot-start. Upon heating to 95 °C, the antibodies denature irreversibly releasing fully active and unmodified Taq DNA polymerase. qScript™ One-Step qRT-PCR Kits are available for all Real-Time PCR instrument platforms, including those requiring normalisation with ROX reference dye.

Supplier: Quantabio
Description: AccuStart™ II PCR SuperMix is a 2X concentrated, ready-to-use reaction cocktail for routine PCR amplification of DNA fragments up to 4 kb. It contains all components, except primers and template. AccuStart™ II PCR SuperMix simplifies reaction assembly, improves assay reproducibility, and reduces the risk of contamination. A key component is AccuStart™ II Taq DNA polymerase which contains monoclonal antibodies that bind to the polymerase and keep it inactive prior to the initial PCR denaturation step. Upon heat activation (1 minute at 94 °C), the antibodies denature irreversibly, releasing fully active, unmodified Taq DNA polymerase. This enables specific and efficient primer extension with the convenience of room temperature reaction assembly.

Catalog Number: (BE-314)
Supplier: G-Biosciences
Description: A major challenge for molecular biologists and genetic engineers is to easily detect and analyze genetic mutations that occur naturally, causing diseases, or during genetic engineering or cloning, whether deliberate or accidental. Students learn about different types of genetic mutations, including substitutions, deletions and point mutations and about various techniques used to detect genetic mutations. The kit contains all the reagents to screen simulated clinical samples for a mutant gene, using both the polymerase chain reaction (PCR) and restriction digestion mapping. Students conduct a simple clinical diagnostic experiment in order to identify a diseased patient.

Supplier: Quantabio
Description: PerfeCTa® PreAmp SuperMix is a 5X concentrated, ready to use reaction cocktail for unbiased, selected enrichment of target sequences from limited amounts of starting material for downstream gene expression profiling or targeted resequencing. It contains all components, except primers and templates. The 5X concentrated SuperMix allows addition of higher template volumes when working with low concentration samples, and/or reduced reaction volumes. Inclusion of an inert light blue tracer dye helps visualise small reaction volumes and ensure accurate pipetting.

Supplier: Quantabio
Description: AccuStart™ II GelTrack PCR SuperMix is a 2X concentrated, ready-to-use reaction cocktail for routine PCR amplification of DNA fragments up to 4 kb followed by analysis on agarose gels. It contains all components, except primers and template. AccuStart™ II GelTrack PCR SuperMix simplifies reaction assembly, improves assay reproducibility, and reduces the risk of contamination. The supermix includes electrophoresis tracking dyes that migrate at approximately 4 kb and 50 bp to allow direct loading of PCR product on agarose gels following amplification. AccuStart™ II Taq DNA polymerase in the master mix is inactivated with monoclonal antibodies that bind the polymerase and keep it inactive prior to the initial PCR denaturation step. Upon heat activation (1 minute at 94 °C), the antibodies denature irreversibly, releasing fully active, unmodified Taq DNA polymerase. This enables specific and efficient primer extension with the convenience of room temperature reaction assembly.

Supplier: Quantabio
Description: AccuStart™ II Taq DNA Polymerase is a high purity, recombinant Taq DNA polymerase preparation with high avidity monoclonal antibodies that bind the polymerase and keep it inactive prior to the initial PCR denaturation step. Upon heat activation (1 minute at 94 °C), the antibodies denature irreversibly, releasing fully active, unmodified Taq DNA polymerase. This enables specific and efficient primer extension with the convenience of room temperature reaction assembly. Non-specific extension of primers at low temperatures is a common cause of artifacts and poor sensitivity in PCR. The AccuStart™ II automatic hot-start enables specific and efficient primer extension in the PCR process with the added convenience of room temperature reaction assembly. The included 10X PCR Buffer II is a new optimised buffer that provides higher product yield, improved specificity, and enhanced multiplexing capability.
Catalog Number: (TNB-6600-KIT)
Supplier: Tonbo Biosciences
Description: The fragmentation of genomic DNA by cellular nucleases during the later stages of apoptosis is also one of the most easily measured features of apoptotic cells. Nuclease activity generates DNA fragments ranging from ~300 bp to 50 bp in length, resulting in a typical DNA ‘laddering’ appearance when analyzed by agarose gel electrophoresis. These fragments have exposed 3’-hydroxyl (OH) ends which can be labeled with bromolated deoxyuridine triphosphates (Br-dUTP). An enzyme, terminal deoxynucleotidyl transferase (TdT), is used to catalyze the template-independent addition of Br-dUTP to the 3’-OH ends of double or single stranded DNA. This method is often called TUNEL (terminal deoxynucleotidyl transferase dUTP nick end labeling) or end labeling. Sites where the Br-dUTP is incorporated can then be detected with an antibody specific to BrdU. With the APO-BrdUTM Kit cells are first labeled with Br-dUTP, and then sites of incorporation are detected through staining with a FITC anti-BrdU antibody. Samples can then be analyzed via flow cytometry. Samples that are apoptotic will stain brightly with the anti-BrdU antibody due to the substantial number of exposed 3’-OH sites, while cells that are non-apoptotic will not have incorporated significant amounts of Br-dUTP and will stain dimly. The APO-BrdU Kit is shipped in one container and consists of two packages. Upon arrival one should be stored at 2-8°C and the other at -20°C.
