Catalog Number: (BOSSBS-1970R-A750)
Supplier: Bioss
Description: Lysosome associated membrane protein (LAMP1), also known as lgp120 or lgpA, is a type 1 integral membrane protein that is transported from trans Golgi networks to endosomes and then lysosomes. Upon cell activation, LAMP1 transfer to the plasma membrane is dependent on a carboxyl terminal tyrosine based motif (YXXI). Perturbation in the spacing between the tyrosine based motif relative to the membrane abolishes lysosome localisation of LAMP1. This mutant protein then cycles between the plasma membrane and the endosome. Cell surface LAMP1 and LAMP2 have been shown to promote adhesion of human peripheral blood mononuclear cells (PBMC) to vascular endothelium, therefore they are possibly involved in the adhesion of PBMCs to the site of inflammation.

Catalog Number: (BOSSBS-11751R-CY7)
Supplier: Bioss
Description: Polyglutamine(Q) tract binding protein-1 (PQBP-1) is a transcription repressor that associates with polyglutamine tract-containing transcription regulators and causative genes for neurodegenerative disorders. Hepta- and di-amino acid repeat sequences rich in polar residues are essential for PQBP-1 to interact with polyglutamine tract-containing proteins (i.e. huntingtin, androgen receptor and Brain-2). PQBP-1 contains a WWP/WW domain that binds proline-rich motifs and a C2 domain that can influence Ca2+-dependent phospholipid signaling. PQBP-1 localizes to the nucleus and is present in neurons throughout the brain, with abundant levels in hippocampus, cerebellar cortex and olfactory bulb. The human PQBP-1 gene maps to chromosome Xp11.23.

Catalog Number: (BOSSBS-11072R)
Supplier: Bioss
Description: Neuronal migration of the central nervous system is a specialized form of cell motility that takes place in the laminar structure of the cortical regions of brain. Astrotactin is a neuronal cell surface protein expressed on postmitotic neuronal precursors in the cerebellum, hippocampus, cerebrum, and olfactory bulb. Astrotactin 2 is a paralog of Astrotactin. Astrotactin mediates neuron-astroglial interactions and is also implicated in synaptic development as well as many other neuronal activities. Astrotactin has three epidermal growth factor repeat domains and two fibronectin type III repeat domains. The human Astrotactin gene shows extensive homology to the mouse Astrotactin gene. Mutations in the Astrotactin gene are linked to neuronal migration defects in both species.

Catalog Number: (BOSSBS-11369R)
Supplier: Bioss
Description: The PSD-95/SAP 90 family of proteins, which are known to bind to and cluster various membrane proteins, are involved in the organization of synaptic structure. SynGAP (for synaptic GTPase activating protein), a novel synaptic RasGAP, is a brain-specific protein abundant in the cortex, hippocampus and olfactory bulb. SynGAP interacts with all three PDZ domains within PSD-95/ SAP 90 proteins. It represents one of three classes of mammalian RasGAPs and is specifically localized to excitatory synapses possessing NMDA receptors. SynGAP may be involved in the regulation of BDNF as well as Ras signaling. Its activity is inhibited by phosphorylation by CaMKII, which could result in the activation of the MAP kinase pathway.
