Ice Makers
Ideal for medical and laboratory use. The AFC self contained cubelet ice makers are air-cooled. Models are automatic and produce 'cubelet' ice (compressed ice flakes*) with an even melting rate. The AFC134 requires a 15 mm 'washing machine' type tapped mains water supply, a correctly rated power supply and a 38 mm vented drain fitted with a suitable 'backflow' prevention device to incorporate a Type AA or AD airgap (for the AFC unit, no higher than the base of the machine) within one metre of the machine's intended position.

* Produces ice flakes which are then compressed to remove excess residual water, reducing it to as low as 10% of its original volume
** Bin capacities are based on volumetric sizes of storage bins, actual capacity may be less due to ice 'pyramiding' as it falls into the bin.
*** Add 120 mm for the legs, if required

They are designed to reduce unscheduled service calls associated with the equipment’s internal water system, this includes lime scale build-up, corrosion, sediment, bacteria etc. Please contact the Avantor Technical Office for full details.

Delivery information: Two year parts and labour warranty. Any additional plumbing or service work incurred by the installation engineer (including removal of old machine) may be charged extra. Please contact Avantor Technical Office prior to purchase if connection to a de-ionised water supply is preferred. All units are delivered without a plug.
