Media for Microbiology Prepared Media for Microbiology

Culture media for sterility tests, diluents for the homogenisation of samples for the microbiological examination and rinsing fluids for membrane filtration methods.


  • The formulations comply with the requirements of the Harmonised method in the United States (USP), European (EP) and Japanese (JP) Pharmacopoeias
  • Penase (neutralising agent that inactivates penicillin) available for thioglycollate medium
  • Wide mouth flask available for some items (see the descriptions below)
  • Injectable plastic screw inner cap with external protection cap for most of the bottles presented below (see the technical data sheets for details)
  • On request is possible to supply two or three wrapped bottles from 90 ml up to 950 ml, as well as flask with wide-mouth


Fluid K is a diluent for the homogenisation of samples for the microbiological examination.


Fluid A and D are rinsing and/or diluting fluids for membrane filtration methods.


THIOGLYCOLLATE Broth and TRYPTIC SOY Broth (TSB) are highly nutrient liquid medium formulated according to Pharmacopeial harmonised method and used for sterility tests. TSB is used also for pre-enrichment control strains involved in the 'growth promotion' of culture media.


Certifications: The composition of these products are in accordance with the requirements of United States (USP), European (EP) and Japanese (JP) Pharmacopoeias.
