Hydroxy naphthol blue disodium salt, ACS reagent.
Hydroxy naphthol blue disodium salt is a chemical compound belonging to the class of azo dyes commonly used as a pH indicator.It exists as small blue crystals. Hydroxy naphthol blue is suitable for the quantification of metal leaching in metal affinity chromatography. It changes color at pH range 12 to 13 from blue to reddish pink, in the presence of calcium ions and to deep blue in the presence of disodium ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid (EDTA).
